After racing an Alfa 156 2.0 T-Spark, I decided to sell that and buy a Punto for the Trofeo Series.

This is a 1.8 Hgt Abarth version that had been previously raced in "Targa Bambina" so has had work done to the brakes, suspension and some engine modifications. To get it track ready we have stripped the car down, had a cage installed and are now in the process of getting her back together for the first round in September.

As we go along I'll let you know the costs of things we have needed buy to this point heres an idea of converting a road car into a Trofeo Series Race Car

Initial cost of the car $5500

Roll Cage from Racecraft $ 665

Cage Install $1288

Logbook & Homologation $ 265

2 Sabelt 6 Point Harnesses $1150

Seat Brackets & Tow Straps $ 292

4 Race Tyres $ 718

We have done the bulk of the strip & rebuild ourselves which is one of the enjoyable parts.

Here are some photos of the car to date
